Charlie’s story,

One of Newcastle Sands members recently had their story featured in the Newcastle Journal. You can read it here.

People support how they can,

When my baby died a wise friend told me that most people would ignore it because they had no idea how to deal with it, most would express their sadness and love and a small minority would be happy talking about it. Everybody offers their support in their own way but talking about it helps me through the worst.

Coping with it,

I found the only way to deal with the loss of our baby was to talk to people who understand.

The only thing,

When I lost my son it was the only thing I wanted to talk about. It was my only way of enjoying his short life. Most people can’t or don’t want to talk about such a painful subject. It’s fantastic to know people who can and it has really helped me.
