Newcastle Sands on BBC Newcastle
2012
Edyta from Newcastle Sands was interviewed by BBC Radio Newcastle this morning to highlight the “Preventing Babies’ Deaths: What Needs to Be Done” report that Sands is taking to Westminster.
Edyta discussed her experiences following interviews with Sands highlighting the scandal that 17 babies every day die stillborn or soon after birth and that there is a lot more the country can and should be doing about it.
Sands believes that a third of stillbirths near full term are preventable with better care and monitoring and that more scientific research and health care professional education needs to take place.
